- Do you do simple 1 color jobs or stock paint repair??
- Definitley. We specialize in Harley Davidson stock color matches. We will be more than happy to paint any part or bike a single color. No job is too simple.
- How Long does it take?
- Turnaround is usually noted on our home page. Typical turnaround time is 2-4 weeks for most projects. Our busiest season is November to June. Late Summer and early Fall are usually slower.
- Do you disassemble/reassemble the bike for me?
- I always prefer if you can bring the disassembled parts. I have a list of mechanics and shops that I can recommend for disassembly / reassembly.
- Do you guarantee your work?
- Absolutely. Click here to learn more about our quality guarantee.
- How Much ClearCoat will you put on my bike?
- The idea that more clear is not necessarily true. It was true in the days of laquer paint, when the layers were very thin. Today's high build clears are very thick. I aim to have 3-4 coats of high quality clearcoat on top of the finished product. If you wish to pay for additional clearcoats, I will be happy to oblige.
- Can you paint chrome parts?
- Yes. Chrome parts can be bead blasted, primed, and painted. We can paint stock horn covers, air cleaner covers, gas caps, etc.
- Do you paint Sport Bikes?
- Yes, we paint sport bikes, scooter parts, and foreign cruisers, as well as Harley and other American bikes. Unfortunately, it is often more expensive to paint Sport Bikes, as they are have a lot of pieces and surface area.
- Can you repair my broken plastic fairing?
- Sometimes. We can repair and mend broken plastic, but I cannot guarantee it will hold up. Sometimes it is costs less to buy a new one.
- Can I buy parts from you?
- Sometimes. Please call and I can help you get the parts you need. The Harley dealer or a custom parts/service shop are better places to get parts.
- Can you paint my part while it is still on the bike?
- Not usually. Sometimes it cannot be avoided, but we always prefer that the part be removed from the bike.
- Can you match my custom paint job or numbered Harley Davidson set?
- Usually. We can match most other artists work and we can match many custom colors. We also have a close color match for the 2003 Anniversary Sterling Silver. We have matched many Harley numbered sets and CVO paint jobs.
- What kind of paint do you use?
- I primarily use PPG Urethane paints. I use some House of Kolor products. My clearcoat of choice is PPG Concept 2002 - A strong, high-gloss clearcoat.
- Can you match any color?
- No, but I am one of the best around. Some colors are difficult to match. Some are impossible, due to proprietary pearls, color codes, etc. Often we can come up with a 95% match, as in the case of the Harley Anniversary Sterling Silver.
- Can you do portraits / pin-ups?
- Yes. I can creat portraits of people or pets. I can also do pin-ups, and duplicate just about anything.
- Where can I find ideas?
- Magazines, internet, advertisements, movies, bike shows, etc.
- Do you paint cars?
- no, sorry, but I will paint hood murals, spoilers, ground effects, and other automobile parts. I can match most OEM colors.
- Will you paint a matte or flat finish on my bike?
- Yes. The flat finish is a flat clearcoat, so we can do any color or design. Flatness can be controlled to achieve semigloss or eggshell type finishes too.
